OVERVIEW:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and management of network/server hardware and software. The candidate’s VMWare experience will be critical in the development of a virtual infrastructure for the US business. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Microsoft and VMware infrastructure. They must also be able to complete installation of network cabling and other physical tasks as required.

SUMMARY:

  • Provides Windows, Microsoft Office, and other software training, support, or resources to all users.
  • Implements the company’s information technology assets including data safety, encryption, up-to-date system patches, passwords, security parameters, antivirus software, intrusion prevention and detection.
  • Supports Cisco VOIP telephone system.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects issues related to WAN/LAN
  • Troubleshoots and maintains individual workstations, mobile devices, networking, and all technology-related hardware and software.
  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  • Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
  • Installs computer hardware and software.
  • Maintains accurate and current data related to all technology related items, including hardware inventory tracking, software licenses, network device configurations, confidential passwords, and all other related items.
  • Manages company phones, tablets and cellular devices.
  • Travel between US locations is required (currently Rincon, GA and Brunswick, GA)
  • Ensures proper backup of data on a daily\weekly\monthly basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in system administration. Must have demonstrated technology competency in a wide spectrum of functions, and have demonstrated ability to provide support for all technology programs.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively utilize communication, collaboration and productivity suites including: SAP, MS Office, MS Office 365, Sharepoint, and Lotus Notes.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Server and VMWare operating systems.
  • Understanding of network architecture and management.
  • Understanding of network printing protocols and management.
  • Ability to quickly learn and manage various networking programs for internet filtering, wireless management, security, antivirus, backup system and virtual servers.
  • Must be able to work independently, multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to research, troubleshoot and repair a variety of complex technology-related hardware or software problems as the need arises.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate all the details of the project to the team to deliver best results.
  • Persistent attention to detail and display excellent interpersonal skills.
