L 3Harris ComCept is seeking a Scrum Master who will act as a servant leader to lead Agile practices, as well as promote and support Scrum teams to develop customer-centric digital software applications and services. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment, understands and practices Scrum theory, values quality, and has a strong desire to inspire change. You will demonstrate success by:
  • Facilitating Scrum events (Daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Review/Demo and Retrospective)
  • Working alongside Product Owners to refine and groom the product backlog, forecast sprint iterations, and resolve team/stakeholder conflicts
  • Coaching the Scrum Team in self-organization and cross-functionality
  • Anticipating and addressing potential and actual impediments to team delivery
  • Helping the Scrum Team to release a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Tracking progress through various Agile metrics
  • Working with teams on leveraging Agile processes and partnering with Product Owners and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality deliveries
  • Understanding and practicing agility throughout the Product Life Cycle
  • Encouraging continual improvement and innovation in the platform and application development process
  • Collaborating with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum within the organization
  • Supporting the Product Owner’s vision, goals, scope, and product domain
  • Leading and coaching employees and stakeholders to understand, enact, and adopt Scrum practices
  • Championing change that increases the productivity of the Scrum Team
  • Being responsible as coordinator to facilitate the resolution of issues

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline and five (5) years applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum qualifications of 3 – 5 years of Agile project management or solution delivery experience, within the Defense and Aerospace industries, but not necessarily required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile mindset and Scrum, Kanban framework
  • Experience implementing best Agile practices and standards, and mentoring/teaching junior practitioners
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's in any Engineering discipline, Master of Science in Management program, or Business Administration
  • Scrum Master certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, and SSM, etc.) and additional SAFe ® certifications (e.g., SSM, SASM, ASE, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with all phases of the full software development life cycle
  • Software development experience in web development applications
